Talk:Phillip Lynch
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Following the consensus of the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Private Phillip Lynch, I have erased this article (which was created based on a misspelling of an Irish soldier named Philip Lynch), and replaced it with an article about the Australian politician Phillip Lynch. The original text read thus:
Phillip Lynch, aka Phillip Columba Lynch, was a PVT E-2 with the 38th Infantry Regiment, (2nd Infantry Division), US Army. He was born in Brooklawn, Kilconly, Tuam, Co. Galway, Ireland, on the 12th July 1929. He enlisted in San Francisco, California. He was killed in action in North Korea on the 27th August 1951; his remains were interred in Kilconly parish cemetery.
Private Lynch, though worthy of a memorial, was not thought to be an appropriate subject for an encyclopedia. Please see the deletion page linked above for details of the discussion. Chick Bowen 22:38, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
