Andreas Holzinger (* 18. April 1963 in Graz) ist ein österreichischer Dozent für Angewandte Informationsverarbeitung.

Holzinger begann 1978 als Radio- und Fernsehtechnikerlehrling; Gesellenprüfung (1981), Nachrichtentechniker im Außendienst bei BOSCH, währenddessen Werkmeister für Industrielle Elektronik mit Lehrlingsausbilderprüfung (1983), anschließend HTL für Berufstätige; College of Further Education Bournemouth (UK), Schwerpunkt Computertechnik (1985/86).

Ing. für Nachrichtentechnik (1990); Diplom in Erwachsenenbildung (Dip. Ed., 1991); Studien der Nachrichtentechnik, Lehramt Physik und Psychologie (Mag. rer. nat., 1995) sowie Diplomstudium Medienpädagogik und Soziologie (Mag. phil., 1996) an der Technischen Universität und der Universität Graz.

Promotion mit „summa cum laude“ in der Kognitionswissenschaft (Dr.phil., 1997). Gastdozent am NHC Berlin (2002 und 2003); Habilitation (Venia Docendi, Univ.-Doz., 2003) an der TU Graz, im Fach „Angewandte Informationsverarbeitung“.

Gastprofessor an der Universität Innsbruck, Institut für Organisation und Lernen 2004/05. Leiter des Arbeitskreises „HCI&UE“ der OCG und Gründer und Leiter der SIG HCI4EDU. Gastprofessor an der TU Wien, Institut für Softwaretechnik und interaktive Systeme 2005/06.

Holzinger ist Konsulent für das österreichische und deutsche Wissenschaftsministerium, Experte der EU, Mitglied der Steuerungsgruppe „Neue Medien in der Lehre an österreichischen Universitäten und Fachhochschulen“.
