Hell Awaits ist das zweite Studioalbum der kalifornischen Band Slayer. Es erschien 1985 bei Metal Blade Records und wurde von Slayer in Zusammenarbeit mit Brian Slagel produziert. Hell Awaits ist das Slayer-Album mit den wenigsten Titeln. Es beginnt und endet mit derselben Melodie. Am Anfang vom Titeltrack Hell Awaits hört man unverständliches Gestöhne. Dieses Gestöhne sind die Worte Join us (dt.: Schließt euch uns an) rückwärts abgespielt.
