Scoop ist eine Compilation von Pete Townshend, die 1983 als ATCO 90063-1-F veröffentlicht wurde.
Auf Scoop öffnete Pete Townshend erstmals sein umfangreiches Studioarchiv für eine Sammlung ausgewählter Demos. Das Interesse in der musikinteressierten Öffentlichkeit seinerzeit war groß, immerhin galt Townshend immer noch als der führende englische Rockmusiker.
Im Booklet schrieb Townshend: "For many years recording was my one and only hobby. (...) It has only been the people close to me who have heard the music I made for myself or by myself. Away from sophisticated studio techniques and repeated soul destroying takes the real joy I get from playing and writing comes through, and that joy is something I want to share. (...) This isn’t meant to be a definitive collection, just a scoop."
