William F. Buckley junior

William Frank Buckley Jr. (WFB) (* 24. November 1925 in New York City) ist ein US-amerikanischer Autor, konservativer Journalist und Kommentator aus New York City. Er gründete die einflussreiche konservative politische Zeitschrift National Review 1955 sowie auch die preisgekrönte Fernsehtalkshow Firing Line 1966. Buckley war Schüler von Erik von Kuehnelt-Leddihn und beschreibt sich selbst als Libertärer[1]
1951, im gleichen Jahr, als er für eine geheimdienstliche Tätigkeit mit der CIA rekrütiert wurde, veröffentlichte Buckley sein erstes Buch, God and Man at Yale. Darin kritisierte er die Yale University, und warf ihr vor, von ihrer ursprünglichen Aufgabe als christliche Hochschule abgekommen zu sein. Yale sei nach seiner Auffassung anti-religiös, anti-kapitalistisch und kollektivistisch eingestellt.
