Wikipedia's article count has grown rapidly in the major language editions, based on data through February 2006. The three largest editions are the English edition ("en", shown here in red), the German edition ("de" in lavender) and the French edition edition ("fr", in cyan). Each heavy horizontal line represents 250,000 articles; thus, the English edition had nearly 1.5 million articles by the end of October 2006.
