1876-77 Australian cricket season
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 1876-77 Australian cricket season featured no first-class matches between the colonies. New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania were unable to arrange fixtures as in previous seasons. Club cricket matches were played in most of the colonies.
Three first-class matches were played by an England touring team, led by James Lillywhite, which also visited New Zealand. This tour included the two earliest Test matches between Australia and England.
