The 1985 version of the Five Nations Championship was held over the course of two months, from February 2 to April 20, 1985. The championship was contested by England, France, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The championship winner was Ireland, winning their tenth (excluding eight other shared titles) and, so far, last title. Ireland also claimed the Triple Crown, their sixth, which would be their last until 2004.
