The Fourth Asian Beach Games are to be held in Boracay, Malay, Aklan, Philippines. In the 25th Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) General Assembly in Doha on December 2, 2006, the Council selected Boracay as host of the 2014 Asian Beach Games. The games will fall on the same year of the 17th Asian Games. It will include beach sports that were normally included in the regular Asian Games program, as the OCA has decided to cap the number of sports in the latter to just 35.
