42nd Attack Squadron

42d Attack Squadron flys MQ-9 Reaper UAV's and is currently stationed at Creech Air Force Base in Indian Springs, Nevada. The 42d will oversee the training of pilots and sensor operators assigned to the new MQ-9 Reaper.

The unit traces its history back to 1917 when it operated in Texas as a biplane training unit. The squadron saw action in World War II as bomber unit.
Reactivated on November 9, 2006, at Creech Air Force Base.
The unit received its first MQ-9 on March 13, 2007.[1]
