Anon, please take a username. It's much easier to talk with someone when you can use a name.
You can't just IGNORE the rest of the article and insert a figure without giving a source. You can't say that your source is better than other sources (like the CIA) that support the 85-15% breakdown.
It might be helpful to start a section on Estimates re Sunni/Shi'a breakdown and list the various estimates given by various sources, with links to the sites where you found the figures, or references to the books where you found the information. That would establish that the statistics are wobbly and controversial. We've done our best, by giving a country by country breakdown and adding them up.
