Can someone please correlate the Muslim and Christian dates? Thanks. -- Jmabel 01:01, Oct 8, 2004 (UTC)
"...managed to form an army of Gauls and Germans approximately 110,000 strong"
How do we know this? Poitier is far from Germany. Not mentioning the muslims had already control of southern France up to the Loire river. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.188.41.179 (talk • contribs).
[edit] Merging the Articles, the Size of the Frankish Army, and the date of the Battle
The best historical estimates are that Charles had a Frankish army (buttressed by some of the other Germanic tribes) of 15-75,000 men. As to merging the articles, obviously it should be done, since they are both about the same man. The date of the battle in English by the standard calender is Oct. 19, 732 a.d.old windy bear 00:41, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
