Academy of Interactive Entertainment
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) is a Registered Training Organisation that was established in 1996 (by parent company MicroForte) as a training ground for future 3D artists and programmers for the Australian computer game development and 3D animation industries. It has campuses situated in Canberra and Melbourne.
All AIE full time courses are nationally accredited through the Australian Qualifications Framework.
In 2006, 280 full-time, 53 part-time, 65 on-line and 50 short-course students are studying 3D art, programming and computer game development.
The AIE enjoyed a dramatic increase in student applications in 2004, after the introduction of their television advertising campaign featuring an animated female character with a comically low voice.
