[edit] Theatre category
I added 'World War II Mediterranean Theatre' category to this article. I am not sure if there are any significant articles that would constitute Aftican theatre without being in mediterranean already... --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 18:56, 8 May 2005 (UTC)
- If you read the links in this article, you will see that there were major operations in Abyssinia, Senegal-Gabon and Madagascar. The connection to the Mediterranean is tenuous in both geography and the command of the operations (although some were directed by the Middle East Command). Grant65 (Talk) 00:59, May 9, 2005 (UTC)
- Sure, go ahead and make relevant category then - I simply didn't have time. Still, it looks like the smallest theatre of IIWW - unless we count South America or the N&S Poles :> --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 22:45, 10 May 2005 (UTC)
- My point in writing the article was that there were significant battles around the continent of Africa in several different theatres, which were not linked in Template:WWIITheatre. Africa was not one (singular) theatre under one command structure. In a way it's a kind of disambiguation page. Therefore it doesn't belong it any category, unless there is a category for the various continents during WW2. Grant65 (Talk) 00:20, May 11, 2005 (UTC)
