[edit] History
The airline was established in October 2001 and started operations in March 2002. It began flying charter services from Ireland and Israel to Croatian destinations. It has also conducted ad hoc services for the United Nations in the Balkans. It has its headquarters at Rijeka and technical operations based at Pula Airport. In 2004 charters were largely flown between Sweden and Croatia. In 2005 the company bought 3 additional used MD-82s aircraft from Alitalia.
Air Adriatic has announced plans for 2007 to launch schedule services from Zagreb to various cities in Europe (e.g. Berlin, Düsseldorf, Moscow and Zürich) and to replace its MD-82 by B737-700.
Air Adriatic ceased operations early 2007.
