From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I am an administrator whose interests range from health issues to African American literature. I have taken it upon myself to update and edit many of the literary articles and articles about African American writers on Wikipedia. I also have a strong interest in issues regarding the Southern United States (as might have been deduced from my username). Anyone needing admin assistance should feel free to leave a message on my talk page. I am especially interested in people reporting problems with systemic bias and racism here at Wikipedia.
Featured articles:
- African American literature -- Wrote almost the entire article. My first featured article.
- Ku Klux Klan -- I began work on this article after it became a featured article. Since then I've mediated several editorial disputes on the article (including one of which kept the article from being delisted as a FA) and made a large number of edits.
- Porgy and Bess -- Can't take a lot of credit for this FA. I added a significant amount to the "Racial controversy" section, along with inline citations for the article.
Good Articles
- William Shakespeare I've done way too much work on this article over the years to list everything here.
- Mark Kellogg (reporter) (Also a Did you know selection) Wrote entire article.
- Uncle Tom's Cabin Greatly expanded this article, added references, and brought it up to Good article standards.
New articles I've created:
Anti-Tom literature (a Did you know selection), John Beecher, Buddhadasa Bhikkhu, Carl Carmer, Culture of the Southern United States, Loren Eiseley, Health disparities, Ernest Hogan, Randall Kenan, Montgomery Academy, Thylias Moss, Politics of the Southern United States, Mark Phillips (author), Dan Schneider (writer), Ntozake Shange, R. T. Smith, Queen Sri Suriyothai, Shakespeare's life, Shakespeare's plays, Sexuality of William Shakespeare (a Did you know selection), Southern Renaissance, Spamigation, Mehmet Tarhan, Wallace Thurman, Alfred Tibor, Brad Vice (a Did you know selection), Dorothy West
For what it's worth, when I write new articles, I try not to write stubs. I write complete articles.
A few of the articles I've made significant edits to:
Address to the Negroes of the State of New York, Barbecue, William Wells Brown, Charles Bukowski, Carbon offset, Christianism, James Emanuel, History of the Southern United States, Literary magazine, Lara Logan, Perihan Magden (a Did you know selection), Medical malpractice, Toni Morrison, Jay Robert Nash, Indra Nooyi, Lori Piestewa, A.
