Albert Benois

Albert Nikolayevitch Benois (1852-1936), was a talented Russian water-colorist. The elder son of architect Nicholas Benois, and brother of artist and theatrical designer Alexander Benois, he came from a large family of prominent Russian artists. Albert's daughter Maria married the Russian composer, pianist, and conductor, Nikolay Tcherepnin (1873-1945). Their son Alexander Tcherepnin was also a composer and pianist of note.
