Alois Dryák

Alois Dryák (February 24, 1872 in Olšany - June 6, 1932 in Prague) was Czech architect and professor of ornamental design.
Most famous for the design of the ornamental detail on Art Nouveau masterpieces such as the Hotel Garni, Hotel Central and Hotel Europa (also known as Hotel Evropa, formerly Hotel Šroubek) in Prague, Czech Republic. This early design work was done under the tutelage of Bedřich Ohmann.
Hotels Europe and Garni are located on Wenceslas Square which is dominated by an equestrian statue of Saint Wenceslas. Dryak designed the ornate pedestal of this statue.
