[edit] Members lost
The first member to leave the team was Chad Geary (fabricator/builder), better known by the nickname "Bluebear". Geary was fired by Boyd during the 'Rat Rod' build off.
On January 21, 2005 (Episode 23), Charlie (who was then-bodyshop manager) left to work as a painter for Boyds ex-designer Chip Foose. The reason for Charlies exit was his frustration with the ever tightening deadlines set for the cars they were building.
Shortly thereafter, Thomas left to start his shipping company. Thomas however did return.
Mike was fired for designing wheels for Chip Foose. Coddington claimed that he was using office computers and doing the design work while on the clock.
Following these departures, the team was short-staffed. In 2005, the 60 year-old metal worker Roy Schmidt died, leaving the team to look towards Lee to get the metal work done. Next to leave was Scott (A fabricator) who left to work for him self.
