Amherst Township, Lorain County, Ohio

Amherst Township is one of 18 townships within Lorain County, Ohio, located in the northern part of the county. As of the 2000 U.S. Census, the township's population was reported to be 21,370.[1] The township is comprised largely of residential developments, housing people who work throughout the Cleveland, Ohio area. The township is governed by three Township Trustees. The current Trustees are Dennis Abraham, Neil Lynch, and David Urig.[2]
