Amy Hill

Amy Hill (born May 9, 1953 in Deadwood, South Dakota) is a Japanese-Finnish-American actress well-known to many children for her roles of Mrs. DePaulo in That's So Raven and the babysitter Mrs. Kwan in The Cat in the Hat as well as providing the voice of Jasmine Lee (aka "Ah-Mah") on The Life and Times of Juniper Lee. She also appeared as the grandmother on All American Girl and as Frank Costanza's Korean girlfriend on Seinfeld. Also as Ms. Rangoon on Max Keeble's Big Move. She also was in Big Fat Liar as Joscelyn Davis. She was nominated for a regional Emmy (Los Angeles Area) as writer/host of "Get Real" an Asian American Teen talk show on KSCI.
Hill is also known in the theatre world as a respected performance artist, having written and performed a number of one-woman shows, including the autobiographical trilogy of Tokyo Bound, Reunion and Beside Myself.

- She has hazel colored eyes and wears brown contact lenses to "appear more Asian" for her parts.
- She has an adopted daughter, Penelope.
- She became a well-known and acclaimed actress working with the famed Asian American Theatre Company in San Francisco, California.
- She portrays the mother of film producer/actor Anthony Begonia as Psychic Manna Lisa in an episode of Six Feet Under.
- She was listed as a potential nominee on the 2004 Golden Raspberry Awards nominating ballot. She was suggested in the Worst Supporting Actress category for her performance in the film The Cat in the Hat, however, she failed to receive a nomination.
