I heard that Andy Lau has origins from Xinhui, Guangdong which is a city near Taishan, Guangdong or Toisan (a famous city, known for as the hometown for many of the Chinese Americans and Canadians). Check out this site for proof: http://asianfanatics.net/gallery/index.php?cat=29

Filmography needs chronological order fixes. I would be more than glad to help clean up, but am not sure of the release dates on many of these films. Any good resource besides IMDB I should consult?

At present, Lau is still single. His sexual orientation was the hottest topic in entertainment news. He swore openly: "If I were gay, take AIDS to me!" His prospective mate is the topic of great debate among fans. However, in 2001, he came clean to the Hong Kong media about his girlfriend of 18 years, former Malaysian beauty queen Carol Zhu Liqian.
So that means he's not single anymore? If so why is it written that he is single yet has a girlfriend?

- lol, probably because being a bachelor looks good when your audience is so much young swooning girls. ;D just a note, but Tony Leung Chiu Wai's love life parallels Andy's in this way too, with that 15+ years with Carina Lau.
