Antonio Busca

Antonio Busca (1625-1686) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, mainly active in Lombardy. He trained with Ercole Procaccini, with whom he worked in Milan and Turin. During 1648-9, under Ercole Procaccini, Busca helped in the decoration of the Chapel of the Crucifix in the church of San Marco in Milan, in work shared with Johann Christoph Storer, il Moncalvo, and Luigi Pellegrino Scaramuccia. In 1650-51, he traveled to Rome to work with Giovanni Ghisolfini. He was active in the Sacromonte of Orta.
