Talk:Aon Corp.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Could somebody explain what this Corp. does or did? And shouldn't this article be called something like 'List of Aon Corp. employees that were lost in the 9/11 attacks'? branko
I think it should be moved to sep11. -phma
This is perfectly verifiable and factual information. The employees getting killed is the most famous thing about Aon. --The Cunctator 14:11, 24 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Aon was not founded by W. Clement Stone. It was founded by Patrick Ryan in the 1960s. W. Clement Stone founded Combined Insurance which merged with AON in the 80s. Patrick Ryan was CEO of AON for years until just last year.
Aon does alot of customer serivce out-sourceing from what I know. I work for Aon in Golden, CO as a CSR; Customer service for extened service plans. There are many clients of whom we take calls for, however the most common are Whirlpool & Gutair Center. Aon also offers home insurence and bussiness insurance. Boreing stuff mostly. Cleaned it up some. There's now a better explanation of what the company does, plus I fixed the introductory history paragraph.
I also work in the Golden office. Aon is basically a large insurance corporation. Our office here in Golden is mostly Warranty entitlement, but we also have home warrantys which are administered from the Chicago office. We insure movies and cars and all sorts of cool stuff.
