Aprilia RS250 is 2-stroke 249cc sportbike made by Italian bike maker,Aprilia. Aprilia RS250 is described as ultimate track tool due to it high power to weight ratio & hard edge race oriented racing technology derived from a year of Aprilia racing exprience.
The bike also receive many praise & positive comments from many motorcyclist journalist at the time of it release.It also win many award & being used competitively in many private team & trackdays newbie due to its racing ability & bike technology that make this bike is easiest to handle,not to mention it was easy to maintain eventough the bike fuel efficiency is poor because of 2-stroke engine.

Aprilia RS250 is the most advance 2-stroke 250cc sportbike in history, combined with the best technology from GP & road racing, Aprilia represent its racing heritage in RS250, also can be called as Aprilia GP 250 "road replica", due to its similarity that can be found at both bikes.

Aprilia had plenty of success in 250cc GP racing so the RS250 was no surprise in 1994. The Aprilia RS250 is powered by a modified Suzuki RGV250 engine using Aprilia's own exhaust and intake systems. The fuel feeding system is two 34mm flat slide Mikuni carburettor that control the air/fuel mixture. This was a big different from GP 250 race bike,that has been sourced with Rotax Austria 250cc motor. Aprilia RS250 using highly modified Suzuki RGV250 VJ22(90° 2-Stroke V-Twin)engine.
The chassis is made using polished alloy with parametric pressed twin spar frame. The engine is used as stressed member.While the chassis looks is unique,it also provides very stable & responsive feeling for the rider to lean over while in highspeed cornering.
The swingarm is made by polished aluminium & shaped like banana that becomes very synonymous with two-stroke sportbikes.The swingarm's movement is controlled by a fully adjustable Ohlins shock with the usual remote reservoir.
The forks are 41mm Showa upside-down units that are as fully adjustable as the rear shock.
The brakes on the RS 250 are dual, four-piston Brembos up front clamping down on 298mm rotors with a single, twin-piston caliper, out back grabbing hold of a 220mm rotor.
The front & rear rims are lightweight, 5 spokes, cast aluminum rims are 3.50x17 up front and 4.50x17 out back that require tires of 120/60x17 and 150/60x17, respectively.

The RS gauges feature a digital instrument panel that gives the rider really useful information. There's maximum and average speed readings in kilometers or miles per hour, an adjustable rev limiter warning zone indicator,water temperature in choice of scale, battery charge indicator,a clock,and a chronometer that can remember up to 40 lap times.

In 1998,Aprilia release all new look for RS250.It also called as RS250GP1 to celebrate Aprilia victory in 250cc MotoGP racing class.
It looks very similar to Marco Melandri RSWGP250 bike,& with refined & re-tuned engine & exhaust valve by Aprilia R&D. The air intake at right side of front headlight,RAM-AIR system. It increase the overall power by taking the advantage of pressurize air at front cowling. Much like the previous year models(1996-1997)the all new radical design featuring new titanium exhaust sleeve & more advance racing chronometer/instrument panel.The ECU are more advance than previous model,with on-board computer monitoring the control of the exhaust valve,carburetors & mapping of the programmed spark advance ensuring high maximum power and at the same time high engine usability at all running speed.

-Revised overall bike styling with more modern senses.
-Titanium exhaust sleeve replacing the carbon fibre exhaust sleeve from post previous model.
-New ECU for better sparks & engine monitoring.
-New style instrument panel with new functionality.
-Re-work & re-tuned the engine (ECU mainly) for more engine usability.
- New rims and tires: the front rim is now a 3.5x17, instead of 3.0x17 as used on pre-98' model. The front tire is a 120/60x17 instead of the 110/60x17 mounted on the pre-98'
