[edit] Greek soccer/football match notable?
A user has been making numerous entries regarding all things Greek. While som eof these make sense to me (e.g. birthdates of former Prime Ministers), some do not. I would like to hear you thoughts on deleting items such as this from the date page. My suggestion is to delete such material: "*1996 - Panathinaikos becomes the first Greek team to win the European Championships (now Euroleague) in Paris, beating FC Barcelona by 67-66." - First I have to admit I know nothing about sports, American or any others (I tend to shy away from them for that reason). That being said, I know that football (soccer) is insanely popular everywhere in the world except the United States. I think that if it was a rivalry or a great upset it would be notable as has been the case in baseball, basketball and American football.
