I wasn't criticising your command of English, nor deprecating the style of the article, but I did find parts of the article that could be improved. I added the copyedit tag to call others' attention to this; but because you took exception to this tag, I did the rest myself and removed the tag. I don't use American English: I am from Australia—which you may know as the country that played Uruguay in the last two World Cup qualifiers—, where the language is closer to British English than American English. "battle" is a word in British English, from a French word that entered Middle English; "action" sounds like military jargon, and is rather unpleasant to read. I also changed times given in 24 hours to the standard 12-hour form. Abbreviations, which I found in a few places, also strike the reader as informal. Most of my changes still stand, to which you do not seem to object.
