Talk:Arthur Hallam

Hallam and Tennyson There has been a good deal of discussion about the precise nature of the relationship between Alfred Tennyson and Hallam. Whether or not it was overtly homosexual is not the main question. There is no shadow of doubt, in spite of Hallam's homophobic father, Arthur was determined to legitimise profoundly loving relationships between males. In Memoriam makes it quite clear how Tennyson felt about this. See Alfred and Arthur by Garrett Jones, 2001, ISBN 0755200551
