[edit] Club career
With Dejagah's signing for Hertha BSC Berlin in 2005, he became the youngest player to ever be signed by the club since it was founded in 1892. He also plays for Hertha in the regional league in which he has consistently been the leading scorer since 2005 and as well this season which he has scored 10 goals in 16 games. Hertha's manager Falko Götz has showed continuous faith in him by gradually giving the youngester playing time in the Bundesliga as well as giving him 2 full appearances in the UEFA Cup.
[edit] International career
In 2004 upon being called up to Germany's u-19 national team, Dejagah managed to score an impressive 7 goals in 12 international games including a memorable 2 goals against the Netherlands after his team was down 2-0.
In 2006 again he was invited to play for Germany's U-20 and was once again given the coveted number 10 jersey shared by legends in Germany like Franz Beckenbauer. Dejagah has been temporarily banned from playing before for lashing out against referees and other players and has become known for his fiery temper and provocative style.
Dejagah also considers playing for Iran at international level rather than Germany. He recently expressed his feelings in a conference and his desire to play for Iran.
