[edit] IWW
If you think the Wobblies are an "American union" I suggest you look at this article, among others. --Orange Mike 14:25, 5 March 2007 (UTC) IWW Industrial Union 660
- It's an American union with almost wholly unfulfilled fantasies of global power. The fact that you are arguing the opposite by linking to an article about a break-away movement from a minor party actually tends to confirm this. AshbyJnr 02:00, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- I fear you misunderstood me. The link is to a political party in Scotland whose employees are represented by the IWW.--Orange Mike 15:11, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's a mainly American union that currently has 2,000 members. It is American just as McDonalds is American, despite having overseas operations. But anyway, the point made in the original debate was that the acronym is obscure. The less I know about it - as an adult with an above average knowledge of history and politics - the more it supports that original contention. AshbyJnr 19:30, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
