[edit] Audioblog / MP3 Blog Merge
DISAGREE. The term "audioblogging" seems to me (an active podcaster / mp3 blogger) to be a mere footnote compared to the terms "mp3 blog" and "podcast". It doesn't even have enough search volume at the time of this writing to appear in Google Trends. If a merger is to take place, I would prefer to see both "audioblog" (what's with the "ing" in this article title?) and "MP3 blog" merged into the "podcast" article. Dilvie 05:16, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
misterpete: (DISAGREE) I'd say that an Audioblog is one that is more similar to a podcast, in that some (often the vast majority of the 'talking' content) is presented as an audio file. The object of an MP3 blog, however, is to introduce readers to new music through sharing of music where each song is a discrete file, and though an audioblog/podcast may include music, this is usually a few songs at once, interspersed with talk from presenters, in the style of a radio programme.
DISAGREE: Like misterpete, I think that it's clear that the purpose of an audioblog and an mp3blog are no where similar. To merge them would be like merging a search engine and a normal website. One helps you find new things; one is merely an original source.
Looks like there's a consensus. The tags are coming down. Have you seen the backlog of articles to be merged? Jaye 15:33, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
