Austin Drage (born June 29, 1986) is a British singer/songwriter and actor. From an early age Austin has had a number of theatre, film and television credits to his name. But it's music that is Austin's first love, and 2006 will see Austin take to the road in a tour that has him once again lined up alongside music's elite. With self-penned tracks, a fresh look and a guitar to hand, Austin is currently moving into the American market.

Austin was born (June 29, 1986) at Whipps Cross Hospital, Leytonstone, London and still lives there to this day. He has one brother. He first sang at age 8 and he records his proudest moment as "singing at his grandmother's funeral". He has a dog named Poppy and three budgies. He attended Highams Park and Heathcote schools. His favourite foods are chicken and pasta. His favourite television programmes are South Park and Friends.

Austin's first acting job was in Snatch alongside Brad Pitt and Jason Statham in 2000 where he appeared as one of the pikeys on the caravan site. He then went on to appear in TV programmes such as Casualty and The Bill.

Austin takes great pride in his singing, songwriting, dj-ing and dancing and so a musical career seems logical, and to date he has appeared at hundreds of venues either as part of former band, 5Boyz, or solo. To date some of his releases include the songs, 'Happy Now', 'Breakdown' and 'Out of my Head' which can all be heard either on his site or his MySpace page. Austin has also been signed on by an American record company - Black Mountain Productions.

Austin lists 'All Right Now' by Free as his favourite song and notes that his musical influences include the likes of The Killers, Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Guns N' Roses and Lionel Richie.
Austin is also noted for humbly quoting that his best features has to be "my muscles".
[edit] Recent Appearances
Austin has received recent recognition when he appeared on a Channel 4 production called Boys will be Girls which screened in the UK, and in Australia on Arena. The theme of the show was that three male singers were to form a girl band, by dressing and performing as women, in an attempt to fool the public.
He also apeared and sang at the 2005 Nottingham Gay Pride day.
