In Indian music Avarohan means descending notes of a raga or scale
It is also called Avarohanam or Avarohona.
The ascending notes are called Arohan
Avarohan of raga Hamsadhwani is sa(Do) Ni(Te) Pa(So) Ga(Me) Re(Re) Sa
Parent scale of the raga is scale 29, Dheerashankarabharanam (C Major If Sa is fixed as the note C)
