Babaloma
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Babaloma is a small town in Kwara State of Nigeria. It is located about 75km from Ilorin, the state capital, and 45km from Jebba, a major city that was located in Kwara State but was moved to Niger State by the Babangida administration. There is evidence that Babaloma was initially settled from the nearby Oyo State.
Babaloma is known as a stop over town especially when the major road that linked Niger state and Kwara state passed through it. Babaloma was one of the first towns in the area to have electricity and piped borne water. Babaloma is situated on the major Osin River, which it treats and pumps both through out the town and to surrounding towns and villages.
