In the second paragraph of the Backlash article, it states that he has only fragmented memories of his past. I disagree with that. When they were putting Wildcore together, the conversation between Ferrian and Backlash suggested that he indeed knew of his past and his longevity. He struck down Ferrian right away and told him he lied to him and didn't tell him about his father. That tells me that he has full recollection of his 3000+ years of life.
