Jamie Rishaw (March 20, 1979 - ) is a UNIX/Internetworking engineer, hobbyist photographer and DJ. Born in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, Jamie resides now in the Wrigleyville area of Chicago, Illinois.

Spending the early part of his professional and adult life in Los Angeles, California, Jamie the Dot-com bubble, working for Exodus Communications, the at-the-time largest Network service provider in the world. A senior engineer assigned accounts such as Ebay, Hotmail and others, Jamie rode the 'bubble' from its infancy through its burst in 2000-2001.
Side projects of Jamie's augmenting his career include the creation of the popular Eggdrop IRC bot, as well as extensive performance tuning and code contribution to IRCd, server chat software still in use today, at places including Gay.com, EFnet, Manhunt.net and others.
In October of 2000, Jamie moved to Chicago, taking a key technology position with Playboy Enterprises, the parent company of Playboy magazine, Playboy TV/Spice TV, Playboy.com and others. From there he moved to consulting roles in the private and public sectors, including work in division at the FBI and later a key architecture role at AOL, the world's largest ISP.

Early childhood and teenage years were spent in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. The He stays relatively quiet about his childhood. Generally, peers of Jamie describe his childhood as rather introverted, one who "never did homework, but aced all the tests".

Perhaps Jamie's largest contribution to the world, aside from his Club DJ days in the Los Angeles rave scene, is his creation arpa.com.

Jamie is an autodidact by nature; he likes to teach himself. Professionally, this attests to his uncanny ability to troubleshoot just about anything. Jamie has a Bachelor of Technology degree specializing in Information security from Columbia Pacific University in San Rafael California; tho, again, most of his life experience is autodidactic. Other professional non-"academia" certifications and accreditations include those from Cisco Systems (CCNA, CCNP and CCIE written), Check point , Sun Microsystems (SCNA, SCSA) and @stake (Security, Countercyberterrorism).

Currently, Jamie is a consultant to companies at the Merchandise Mart (Chicago), the largest commercial building in the world.
