Bambang Marsono

Bambang MArsono (born March 23rd, 1943 in Kartasura, Solo, Indonesia). He graduated from Gadjah Mada University in 1968 with a degree in English, then continued his studies at Padjajaran University until 1970.
His studies continued to the United Kingdom where he studied at Henley the Management College at Brunel University of West London in 1985, earning him a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Management Science. He also attended Leicester University in 1989 and earned a Master of Arts (MA) in Applied Linguistics and TESOL. In 1993 he received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Hogeschool van Utrecht at STIE Trianandra Indonesia.
Through an intensive long-distance studies from 1994, he finally earned his PhD of philosophy in Human Resources Management from Pacific Western University of Hawaii in 1997. He also received a PhD in Education from the Jakarta State University in 2003.
Bambang Marsono’s professional career began as a Highschool English Teacher from 1964-1968. He worked as a copywriter, film and radio producer, a traffic controller and an account executive for Lintas International Advertising Service and a part time copywriter for Matari Advertising from 1969-1973. In 1970 he started today’s leading English course; Oxford Course Indonesia. In 1993 he then became a visiting Professor of International Management for Hogeschool van Utrecht, Netherlands.
Bambang Marsono is also the founding father of STIE Trianandra, Prawira Martha Academy of foreign language, University of Satyagama, Prawira Martha Teaching Academy, Parwira Martha Highschool, the Indonesian Association of British Alumni, and Anglindo Student Services.
He is considerred to be Indonesia's leading expert in language education.
