Barbara Comstock

Barbara Comstock is a noted Republican lobbyist and media advisor. Ms. Comstock served as director of the office of public affairs for the United States Justice Department, and as chief spokesperson for Attorney General John Ashcroft, during 2002 and 2003. [1] Previously she worked as Chief Investigator for Representative Dan Burton (R-Ind.) during the Whitewater era. Ms. Comstock has also done stints running opposition research for the Republican National Committee, and has served on the staff of the DC lobbying firm Black Rome. [2] As well, Ms. Comstock has served as chief investigative counsel and senior counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Government Reform, and as appropriations aide/senior aide for Congressman Frank Wolf (R-Va.) Ms. Comstock serves on the Board of Trustees of the Theodore Roosevelt Association.
