Hello. My name is Justin Morgan and I am a horse. There is no use my denying it. The ancestor of the horse in its evolution was Eohippus, and the name for a fear of horses is hippophobia. Although I am neither an Eohippus nor a hippophobic, I am a hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliamaniac (that's a person obsessed with long words). The common linguistic phonemes are striking, but if that weren't evidence enough, I was also born in the Chinese year of the horse, and when I disagree with something I invariably say 'neigh'. See Morgan horse.
QED.
In general I am an inclusionist Wikipedian, but I'm thinking of deleting this sentence in order to maintain neutrality.
Due to a shift in philosophical perspective, I have named my 'likes' section, 'Is positively reinforced by'. This is a behaviorist (or behaviourist) term, and basically it means that by being reinforced positively by something, I am more likely to want to experience it again.
Consider this: if you suppose that we (you the reader and I) were born at the same time and were swapped at birth, then aside for our genetic differences, would you be leading my life and I, yours? Spooky, isn't it?
[edit] Is positively reinforced by
For books, I am greatly positively reinforced by the works of Douglas Adams, Patricia Highsmith and Lemony Snicket. On videography, see ZAZ. On music, Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D, as well as many of Mozart's works, are harmoniously received by my auditory faculties, though many independent artists and game soundtracks have caught my ear too. Mussorgsky's Great Gate at Kiev is particularly fine, too.
[edit] Is negatively reinforced by
- Tigers with large teeth pounding towards me, especially when they're shouting something about patent infringement.
- Being sued
- Sport. I refuse even to link to its article. *Spits*. I am especially negatively reinforced by ball games of the podiatric variety.
- Enormous trucks travelling with alarming velocity in my direction.
Murder is wrong, money is evil, live free or die, it's time to rethink everything, the law is restrictive, the human race is naughty, nations are arbitrary, war is hell, hell doesn't exist, God doesn't exist, the soul doesn't exist, I don't exist, time is an illusion, space is something Newton invented to stop himself going mad and the answer might as well be 42 for all we're ever going to find out about it. Oh, and the Ending Has Already Been Written.
