The Bega schoolgirl murders refers to the abduction, rape and murder of 14 year old Lauren Barry and her friend 16 year old Nichole Collins from Bega, New South Wales in 1997.
Leslie Camilleri was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment for the crimes, never to be released. His co-accused, Lindsay Beckett, was sentenced to life imprisonment with a non-parole period of 35 years.
