Bell Canada Cup

The Bell Canada Cup or Bell Capital Cup is an International ice hockey tournament staged in Ottawa, Ontario. It brings together children aged 9-13, form all over the world to play in the largest hockey tournament in the world. The tournament is set up so that every team get 4 games. You have to win to advance. The finals are held at Scotiabank Place. Other venues are as follows. Bell Sensplex, Kanata Rec Centre, Nepean Sportsplex, Ray Friel Centre, Orleans Recreation Centre, Ottawa Civic Centre and just about every arena in Ottawa. They will be played on 35 different arenas.
This year, the tournament runs from Thursday,February 28th, 2006 to Monday, March 1st, 2007. The National Capital will welcome about 25,000 players from all over the world, including teams from Italy, Czech Republic, China, Russia, Finland, France and 90 teams from the United States. Over 500 teams will participate this year and they will play over 900 games, making for a brand new Guiness World Record for the largest tournament.
