Benigno Aquino III

Benigno Simeón Cojuangco Aquino III (born February 8, 1960) (age 47) his nickname was Noynoy, is a Philippine politician and only son of Benigno Aquino, Jr., the popular opposition senator under the dictatorship of President Ferdinand Marcos and wife, former president Corazon Aquino. He is not yet married. His name was named after his father and his grandfather, Benigno Aquino, Sr.
He is a congressman on his third and final term representing the second district of Tarlac province for the Liberal Party, and allied with the Philippine political opposition. He will be running for Senator in the May 14, 2007 midterm elections under the Genuine Opposition (GO) banner. In his political ad, his sister, Kris Aquino, tells about him better than their parents and she said "Deal to Noynoy!" before Noynoy talks. In his picture in the TV ad, he had a "Deal Sign" from Deal or No Deal.
Aquino was wounded during the 1987 failed coup attempt against his mother and was almost killed by a grenade.[citation needed] He ran for Congress as a representative of Tarlac and won in 1998. He again ran for reelection in 2001 and 2004 and won.
Television talk show host Kris Aquino is his sister.
