The Bernhardi Monkey, Callicebus bernhardi, is a New World monkey discovered in Brazil in 2002. It is a titi monkey, about the size of a small cat. It was discovered by a Dutch-Brazillian scientist in Manaus. The monkey is named after Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands. The monkey was discovered near the Madeira, Tapajos, and Aripuana rivers. The monkey is about 38 cm long, excluding the tail, while the tail is another 56 cm long. The average weight of the monkey is 940 grams. Its sideburns, chest, and inner limbs are orange, while its back is reddish-brown, and its tail is black tipped with white.
