(β Aqr / β Aquarii) is the brightest star in the constellation Aquarius. It also has the traditional name Sadalsuud, which derives from an Arabic expression سعد السعود sacd as-sucūd, meaning "luck of lucks".
Sadalsuud has a stellar magnitude of +2,90 m. It belongs to the spectral class G0Ib, and is 610 light years from Earth. It is a member of a rare class of stars known as yellow supergiants.
