Betsy Stark

Betsy Stark is the business correspondent for ABC News. She regularly contributes reports on the U.S. and global economy, business trends and issues to "World News Tonight," "Good Morning America," "This Week" and other ABC News programs.
Stark recently won an Emmy Award for a series of reports on the deteriorating state of pension benefits in the U.S. She has covered most of the major business stories of the past two decades including the Martha Stewart trial, Enron, WorldCom, Adelphia and HealthSouth. Her recent reporting has focused on oil prices, the real estate bubble, identity theft and Social Security reform.
Before joining ABC News in 1998, Stark worked at Dow Jones for 10 years, where she was correspondent and later senior producer of the weekly Wall Street Journal Report.
Earlier in her career, as a documentary producer for "Inside Story," the PBS series on the media, she was honored with an Emmy Award for Outstanding Investigative Reporting.
Stark is a graduate of Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. She is the mother of two children, Ben and Sara, and she lives in New York City.
