An anonymous editor some time ago diff changed the text from "It is identified with the Palestinian village of Beitun in the West Bank and near the modern Israeli settlement of Beit El." to "it is identified by some with the Palestinian village of Beitun and by others with the modern Israeli settlement of Beit El." This looks suspiciously like POV. I can find a source for something closer to the previous version (now cited); if anyone wants to reinstate the edit made by the anonymous contributor, a source should be cited for that.
Incidentally, the source I´ve cited coincides verbatim with several sentences in the article, and differs slightly from others, including different Biblical citations. This would suggest that the article may have been copied (directly or indirectly) from a different edition of that work. That being the case, I've cited it as a general source for the article and not just for the location. Palmiro | Talk 06:49, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
