Bill Macdonald

Bill Macdonald is an American sportscaster who works for Fox Sports Net West/Prime Ticket. Macdonald joined the network, then called Prime Ticket, at its inception in 1985.
Currently, Macdonald hosts the following three pregame shows:
- Lakers Live, from Staples Center with analyst Jack Haley
- Ducks Live, from the Honda Center with Brian Hayward
- Angels Live, from Angel Stadium with Mark Gubicza
He is also the former host of the Los Angeles Kings' pregame show Break the Ice and calls play-by-play for Los Angeles Avengers Arena Football, UCLA college football and basketball for FSN Prime Ticket. He has also been the host of FSN's Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Tournament coverage at the Staples Center for the past several years.

- Macdonald attended classes at both UCLA and USC, the two cross-city rival colleges in Los Angeles. But Before attending eather of these schools Bill first attended Corona Del Mar High School and was the senior class president.
- Macdonald called the game (January 22, 2006) in which Kobe Bryant scored 81 points, the second-highest total in NBA history. He filled in for Joel Meyers, who had another broadcasting commitment that day.
- Some of his earliest work at Prime Ticket consisted of feature stories done in the style of newsreels. He also has a set of twin boys named Kirk and Cory Macdonald. Along with the twins, Bill has a younger son who shares the same name as he does; Bill Macdonald Jr.
