Billy Yates (born April 15, 1980 in Fort Worth, Texas) is an American Football offensive lineman for the New England Patriots of the National Football League.
Yates was signed as an undrafted free agent after the 2003 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. He spent most of the 2004 NFL season on the Patriots' practice squad before being activated for Super Bowl XXXIX. Yates has spent time on and off the Patriots' roster since, making his first career start on October 30, 2006 against the Minnesota Vikings. He injured his leg two weeks later, and was placed on season-ending injured reserve. Yates was re-signed by the Patriots on March 2, 2007, avoiding free agency.
