Birch Hills Short Cuts
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Birch Hills Short Cuts are a Midget baseball team based out of Birch Hills, SK. Their inaugural campaign in the North East Baseball League was in the 2006 baseball season. Only nine of the original fourteen scheduled games were played due to being rained out. The Short Cuts had a record of 1 win and 8 losses. They did not have a homefield in 2006, so they played their home games either in Melfort at Spruce Haven Park or in Prince Albert at Andy Zwack Field. There are rumors circulating that the Short Cuts may have their own field if they return for the 2007 season. There is some uncertainty if the team will return for the 2007 season but with only three players graduating from the 2006 expansion squad it is more than likely they will return.
