Bishop Hedley High School is a Roman Catholic secondary school, established in 1967, and located in Penydarren, Merthyr Tydfil. The vast majority of the pupils of the school stem from the Heads of the Valley, serving parishes from Aberdare, Hirwaun, Merthyr Tydfil, Merthyr Vale, Gurnos, Dowlais, Tredegar, Rhymney and Ebbw Vale. At present, the school serves around 550-600 pupils, aged 11-18. The school motto Duw a Digon means God is enough in the Welsh language.
Perhaps its most famous alumnus is Robert Sidoli, the current Welsh rugby union lock.
